We had a fun weekend celebrating my daughter's birthday in Julian. The brief trip started out with a visit to the California Wolf Center. The center is commited to helping wild wolves return to their natural habitats. There were just a few wolves on exhibit one of which was the Mexican wolf. The property was near a campground and those visiting said they could hear the wolves howling throughout the night. Those wishing to visit must call the center well in advance to book either a public or private tour. Visit their website at www.californiawolfcenter.org for more information. We then headed over to the little town of Julian where we visited many shops, had lunch at a fun diner, and ate some famous apple pie. Learn more about Julian by clicking here. After wearing the kids out we drove 30 minutes to San Vicente Resort in Ramona. The check-in process was quick and easy allowing for plenty of time to enjoy the large pool before dinner. Our room had a view of the golf course and the kids enjoyed playing on the patio and green grass. To celebrate, golf, and play at San Vicente Resort visit their website at www.sanvicenteresort.com.
