There is a small parking lot that you can pay $2/hr to park in or feel free to park on La Jolla Blvd or one of the side streets and just walk to the beach. The parking can be very difficult on the weekends and during the summer. There are many lifeguard towers, restrooms, a play structure for the kids, and a large grassy area for people to enjoy. Weather you are there to take advantage of the many water activities or just to relax on the beach there is something for everyone. Scuba divers are able to fill their tank or rent gear at the local shops. Looking to kayak? Join a kayaking tour for a couple of hours. If you are going to swim in the water make sure to do the stingray shuffle. Simply slide your feet along the ocean floor rather than lifting them.
