In addition, San Diego residents can visit the garden free on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Don't miss the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival held for two weekend days usually in March. Celebrate spring with this great event including cultural performances, beer and tea gardens, Japanese street food, and children's corner. There is a shuttle provided, hours can be found on their website at niwa.org. The garden is very well maintained and the ponds are full of beautifully colored koi.
